Obituary of Carlos Martinez
Carlos Martinez, 67, of Freehold was welcomed into the eternal light on the 15th of May 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. A native of Guatemala, Carlos proudly gained his American Citizenship in June of 2009. He came to the U.S. in 1982 settling in Asbury Park and living in Neptune City and Ocean Grove before retiring to Freehold in 1999. A humble man of many talents, he worked for TFH Publications and Nylabone before retiring in 2008. Prior to that he worked for Langeveld Bulb Company, Lakewood. Carlos found his passion of gardening in retirement where he would spend the rest of his blessed life cultivating the beauty and peace that he shared with so many of his loved ones.
Carlos's memory will be forever cherished by his companion, his confidant, his love of twenty-seven years, Maria Navarro and us, the Navarro family. Your fatherly love, support, trust, patience and faith in us all, will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM to commemorate the joy Carlos brought to us and celebrate his life.
