Obituary of Salvatore Agro

Salvatore Agro, 86, of Toms River passed away on May 22, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn and lived in Toms River prior to settling in Freehold Township. Salvatore served in the United States Army in Austria as part of the International Patrol, prior to working in the construction industry. He was one of the original parishioners of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, where he was instrumental in the fundraising efforts to build the church in Toms River. Salvatore also volunteered at Deborah Hospital, Browns Mills. Salvatore was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Agro in 2006. He is survived by his daughter, Josephine Delutri and her husband, Charles of Manalapan; two sons, Charles Agro and his wife, Deborah of Howell and Vincent Agro and his wife, Rosemarie of Brooklyn; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 8:15 AM for the procession to his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson.
