Obituary of John Turbe

JOHN T. TURBE, 47, of FREEHOLD, died Wednesday, July 30, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Turbe was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived there until moving to Freehold 20 years ago. John was a field technician and union stewart working 25 years for Verizon, Manhattan, N.Y. He was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale. John was a family man. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Turbe; two sons, Travis and Kyle Turbe of Freehold; his father, Paul Turbe of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three sisters, Lynne Bellantuono and Janet Turbe, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Jean Pannone of Goodyear, Ariz. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Family and friends may gather at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by his 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children's College Fund c/o Jacqueline Turbe.
