Obituary of Maryann New

MARYANN NEW, 54, of Green Brook, formerly of HOWELL, died suddenly Wednesday, July 30, at Somerset Medical Center, Somerset. Maryann was born in Englewood. She was raised in Howell and had lived in Boonton and Toms River before moving to Green Brook in 2008. She was the co-owner/operator of the Hay Hill Kennels, Green Brook. Prior to that, she was the owner and groomer at Tory's Posh Pup, Toms River. She was a breeder of Golden Retrievers. She had a love for dogs and expertise for training, breeding and showing. Maryann had a green thumb for gardening and enjoyed traveling and had a great love for family. She was predeceased are her mother, Ellamae New; and a sister, Patricia Buckley. Surviving are her father, Robert New of Brick; a brother, Paul New of Franklin Township; four sisters, Irene Rego of Perth Amboy, Jane Harris of Monroe Township, Cynthia New of Wall, and Suzanne Taranto of Oxford; her fiancee, Wayne Cyran of Green Brook; and 10 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 5 p.m. Saturday until the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
