Obituary of Debra Gunderson

DEBRA L. GUNDERSON, 54, of TOMS RIVER, died Monday, Aug. 4, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Ms. Gunderson was born in Neptune and had lived in Howell before moving to Toms River four years ago. She was a homemaker. Ms. Gunderson attended the West Farms United Methodist Church, Howell. She was an avid crafter and sold her art at flea markets and bazaars. She enjoyed reading, babysitting and gardening. Given only one year to live, Debra lived courageously for eight years with breast cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles E. and Evelyn Burdge Gunderson. Surviving are a brother, Brian Gunderson of Jackson; a sister, Linda E. Christensen of Manchester, Pa.; three nephews; and two nieces. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Thursday at the funeral home at a time to be announced. Interment will follow in Ardena Baptist Church Cemetery, Howell.
