Obituary of Agnes McWilliams
Agnes Mary McWilliams, 79, of Lakewood Ranch, Florida and formerly of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Life Care Center of Sarasota. Agnes was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Freehold Township in 1969. She settled in Lakewood Ranch in 2011. Agnes was a homemaker. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Lakewood Ranch and a former parishioner and eucharistic minister of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Agnes was a passionate gardener and a member of the Garden Club of Lakewood Ranch. She was an avid reader but most of all, Agnes was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Louis McWilliams; a brother, William Sheehan; and a sister, Patricia Dalton. She is survived by her six children, John McWilliams of Milton, MA, Joseph McWilliams of Sarasota, FL, Lisa Boutote of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Corinne Wagner of West Allenhurst, NJ, Lauren Van Derzee of Glen Allen, VA, and Dana Bedford of Lakewood Ranch, FL; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Yorio of Brooklyn, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold Twp..
