Obituary of Donna Wessner

Donna E. Wessner, 79, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Donna was born in Wayne County, Michigan, and had lived in Freehold Township before moving to Ocean Shores, Washington. She then returned to Freehold Township to live with her son. Donna worked at Applewood Estates in the sales department until her retirement. She was a Master Gardner in Washington State and was an avid reader, whom enjoyed reading everything. Donna also enjoyed fine dining and loved to travel. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. Wessner, Jr.; and a sister, Dorothy Duffield. Donna is survived by two sons, Charles T. Wessner, III of Washington State and Christian Wessner and his wife, Karina of Freehold Township; a stepdaughter, Ellen Wessner Gentry and her husband, Ken of Norfolk, VA; four grandchildren, Clinton, Lucas, Skyler and Matthew; a brother, James Throgmorton; and a sister, Mary Crowley. All arrangements were private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
