Obituary of Jason Panek

Jason Scott Panek, 23, of Freehold passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Jason was born in Birmingham, Alabama and was raised in Freehold, New Jersey. He was a full time student at Rutgers University where he studied History and was part of the TKE, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, Alpha Eta Chapter. Jason loved to make people laugh, helping others and hanging with his friends and fraternity brothers. He enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, fishing and golfing. Jason was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Carl Blatt and by his paternal grandmother, Wanda Panek. He is survived by his parents, Brian and Cindy Panek of Freehold, NJ; his sister, Erin Panek of Freehold, NJ; his paternal grandfather, Robert Panek of Iowa; his maternal grandmother, Rosalyn Blatt of Monroe, NJ; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, fraternity brothers and dear friends. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM. Inurnment will be private.
