Obituary of Winifred Kugelmann

WINIFRED "WINNIE" KUGELMANN, 88, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, at home. Mrs. Kugelmann was born and raised in Bayonne and had lived in Wall before moving to Silvermead, Freehold Township in 1998. Mrs. Kugelmann was a former parishioner of St. Denis Catholic Church, Manasquan. She was a Gold Star Mother. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A., in 2001; a son, Robert A., who died in Vietnam in 1967; and two brothers, Andy and Charlie Boyle. Surviving are a son and his companion, William A. Kugelmann and Tracey Newby of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Dennis J. Ciano of Freehold; four grandchildren, Maria Kidd, Robert Ciano, Christina McDonnell, and Amanda Kugelmann; and five great-grandchildren, Rachael, Nicholas, Christopher, Jacob, and Conner. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, McLean Street, Freehold.
