Obituary of Rose Powell

Rose Powell, 77, of East Windsor passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Rose was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong Freehold Township resident until moving to East Windsor in 2003. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Shoprite central bakery in Freehold Township. Rose was a member of the Anthonan Seniors of St. Anthony of Padua of Hightstown. Rose was predeceased by her sister, Mary Ann D'Alessio. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Powell of East Windsor; a son, William Powell and his wife, Deborah of Howell; a daughter, Rose Bullock and her husband, Daniel of Hightstown; six grandchildren, Kenny Roman and his wife, Jeannine, Stefan Roman and his wife, Lynnann, Billy Powell, Jason Roman, Brandon Bullock and Joseph Bullock; four great grandchildren, Millie, George, Violet and Aurora; a sister, Pauline Reed and her husband, Clifford of Colts Neck; a nephew, Alexander Reed; and two nieces, Georgine Schafer and Mary Ann Sulinski. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, June 20, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rose may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
