Obituary of Eileen Quinn
EILEEN T. QUINN, 80, of HOWELL, died Sunday, Aug. 10, at home. Mrs. Quinn was born in Richmondtown, Staten Island, N.Y. and had lived there before moving to Howell six years ago. She was a former parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Staten Island, N.Y., where she was a member of their Helena's Guild. She was a member of St. Veronica's Catholic Church, Howell. She was a judge for the U.S. Amateur Roller Skating Association. Along with her late husband, James, Mrs. Quinn owned and operated Quinn's Clifton Bar & Grill in Clifton, Staten Island for over 42 years. She also owned the Sand Dune Inn in South Beach, Staten Island.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Patrick Quinn, in 2002. Surviving are three daughters, Eileen Bush and her husband Stuart, of Manahawkin, Stafford, Ann Marie Quinn O'Day and her husband John of Howell, and Nancy Driber and her husband Dennis of Howell; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Marie McKnight and Cecelia Ross of Point Pleasant; and her former son-in-law, Max Bronisevsky.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, St. Patrick Place, Staten Island, N.Y.
