Obituary of John Layton

JOHN MYLES LAYTON, 92, of JACKSON, died Friday, Aug. 1, at Care One at Jackson, Jackson. Mr. Layton was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Neptune. He was the manager-vice president of the Mercedes Benz Agency, Little Silver. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II. He was predeceased by his parents, John H. and Myrendia Hendrickson Layton; and a brother, Walter J. Layton. Surviving are a brother, Donald J. Layton of Redlands, Calif.; and a sister, Viola Shields of Palm Harbor, Fla. All arrangements were private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
