Obituary of Thomas Bokman
Thomas P. Bokman, 90, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Tom was born in Pittsburgh, PA and had lived in various countries all over the world before moving to Freehold Township in 1979. He was an international sales and marketing agent for Climate Control Products (Carrier Corporation). He attended Carnegie Mellon University and then proceeded to embrace an international career, living in Panama, Bermuda, Belgium, Chile, Venezuela and throughout the United States. He took his family all over the world, experiencing the excitement of living abroad. Once Tom and his wife, Teresa, settled in Freehold, it was his love of his family and friends, his easygoing way with people, and his jokes and puns that endeared him to all. He made small things seem special - enjoying crab cakes with his cousins in Baltimore where his parents were born, making mint juleps for the Kentucky Derby or watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates play - simple events all made special. Tom will always be remembered for his easy acceptance of people, his witty repartee and for how intelligent and sharp he was, well into his 90th year. He will be missed every single day.
He was predeceased by his wife, Teresa H. Bokman in 2004. He is survived by two daughters, Catherine Von Ameln and her husband, Robert Von Ameln of Freehold Township and Caroline Bokman and her husband, David Craig of Daly City, CA; one son, Charles Bokman and his wife, Jacqueline Teoh of Singapore; and five grandchildren, Guillaume, Sarah and Theo Bokman; and Skye and Bowie Kocornic.
To all who knew him - thank you for making him part of your life.
