Obituary of Eliseo Baldizzi

Eliseo Baldizzi, 82, of Freehold passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 in Eatontown. Eliseo was born in Palermo, Italy, came to the United States in 1956, and settled in the Bronx. He had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Freehold in 1987. Eliseo retired as a manager of Human Resources for the U.S. Postal Service, Edison. He also had worked at Roosevelt and Yonkers Raceways. Eliseo was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. He was a founding member of the Sons of Italy Lodge, Filipo Mazzei, Freehold and a member of N.A.R.F.E. Eliseo was a basketball referee in Italy, a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and an avid soccer fan. Eliseo is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Maryann Baldizzi of Freehold; two sons, Frank Baldizzi and his wife, Mary of Monroe, NY and Michael Baldizzi and his wife, Lisa of St. John's, FL; a brother, Oscar Baldizzi of Palermo, Italy; a sister, Ina Baldizzi of Palermo, Italy; his faithfull canine companion, Ina; and his grand pets, Kayleigh, Felice, Buddy, and Pretzel. Relatives and friends may gather at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 8:30 AM for the Procession to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold for his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass.
