Obituary of Eugene Johnson
EUGENE L. JOHNSON, 81, of TINTON FALLS, died Sunday, Aug. 24, at home. Mr. Johnson was born in Gray's, England and had lived in Michigan and Neptune before moving to Tinton Falls nine years ago. Mr. Johnson was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran serving during World War II. Mr. Johnson was a purchasing agent for Ingersall-Rand, Kalamazoo, Mich. He then became a courier for the Central Jersey Blood Center, Shrewsbury for over 25 years.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly, in 1968; his companion of 35 years, Tina Hussey, in 2003; and his sister, Joyce Quinlan. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Suzanne Johnson of Cream Ridge, and Gregory and Lori Johnson of Cream Ridge; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl and Carl Cosentino of Eatontown, and Charisse Johnson of Florence, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend his memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Monmouth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 4201 Highway 33, Tinton Falls. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Eugene may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.
