Obituary of Carmela Solieri
Carmela "Millie" Solieri, 99, of Jackson passed away on July 30, 2015 at Bartley Healthcare. She was born in New York City, raised in Brooklyn and had lived in the Eltingville section of Staten Island for 32 years prior to settling in Jackson in 2012. She was a life member of the "Captain Vincent F. Atene" Post 3230 V.F.W. where she was involved in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Carmela was predeceased by her husband, Thomas G. Solieri in 1988. She is survived by her three daughters, Josephine Morse and her husband, Fred, of Jackson, Bernadette Solieri of Howell, and Marie Zito and her husband, Ralph of Howell; two sons, Thomas J. Solieri and his partner, Roy Booth of New Springville Staten Island, and Anthony Solieri and his wife, Eleanor, of Jackson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, and a brother, Daniel Ferrara of Brooklyn.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 8:15 AM for the procession to her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson.
