Obituary of Geraldine Riehl

Geraldine B. Riehl, 96, of Freehold passed away at home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. She was born at home on Palisades Avenue, Jersey City. A graduate of St. Aloysius Academy in 1937, she moved from Paramus to Old Bridge in 1965, and settled in Freehold 19 years ago. Gerry was the secretary to the manager of Alexander's Department Store in Paramus, and was then employed at Sayreville Medical Group, Old Bridge until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Gerry was predeceased by her husband, Louis W. Riehl in 1994. She is survived by three sons, Louis W. Riehl of Marlboro, John Henry Riehl of Howell and James E. Riehl of South Amboy; one daughter, Barbara Leland-Gossett of Lutz, FL; three sisters, Frances Razor of Santa Maria, CA, Joan Egbert of Bradenton, FL and Roberta Taliercio of South Hackensack; two brothers, William Borer of Hampstead, NC and Daniel Borer of Jersey City; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, August 10, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Asbury Avenue, Farmingdale.
