Obituary of June Lagno

June E. Lagno, 93, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. She was born and raised in Worcester, MA, and had lived in the Great Kills and Eltingville sections of Staten Island before settling here in 1966. June was a parishioner and eucharistic minister at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, and volunteered in many community activities. She enjoyed square and round dancing, bowling and golf. June was predeceased by her husband of sixty eight years, Francis "Frank" Lagno in April of this year; and one brother, Ernest Hosley. She is survived by seven children, Mary Elizabeth Barbes (Charles Petren) of Whiting, Teresa Voronov (Michael) of Clarksboro, Barbara Lagno of Point Pleasant, Paul Lagno (Joyce) of Bloomingdale, IL, Agnes Mullins of Freehold Twp., Francis Lagno (Kathleen) of Salt Point, NY, and Margaret Forrest (Richard) of Avondale, PA; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Friday, August 21, 2015 for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold Township.
