Obituary of Elizabeth Perrone

Elizabeth "Betty" Perrone, 87, of Brick passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Betty was born and raised in Asbury Park and had lived in Neptune and W. Allenhurst before settling in Wall 15 years ago. She was a waitress for numerous Jersey Shore restaurants. Betty was very caring, social and outgoing, she loved everyone. She was a wonderful mother, nany and great nany. She was a great admirer of the Irish Tenors and traveled to many concerts with her daughter. She loved to garden and read and loved animals of all kinds. Betty was predeceased by her parents, John and Myrtle Matthews; two brothers, Cecil Matthews and Milton Matthews; and one sister, Doris Steele. She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Cunningham of Wall Township; a granddaughter, Rebecca Desfosse and her husband, Raymond of Brick; and two grandsons, Joshua Desfosse and Nathan Desfosse of Brick and numerous nieces and nephews. All arrangements are private and under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
