Obituary of Stamatia Sarafis

Stamatia Sarafis, 87, of Lakewood passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Willow Springs, Bricktown. Stamatia was born in Istanbul, Turkey and had lived in North Bergen before moving to Lakewood in 2000. She was a fur finisher in New York. Stamatia was predeceased by her husband, Elias Sarafis. She is survived by a niece, Eleni Kyriakoulis of Brick; two great nephews, Kyriakos Kyriakoulis and his wife, Yula of Seattle and Peter Kyriakoulis and his wife, Keri of Jackson; a niece Maria Kyriakoulis of Englewood; great great nieces and nephews, Jordan, Athena, Preston and Roman; and many other relatives in Greece. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM funeral service on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church, 2200 Church Road, Toms River.
