Obituary of Sandra Gilmartin

Sandra "Sandy" Sue Gilmartin, 50, of Freehold, passed away peacefully at CentraState Medical Center on Saturday, September 5, 2015 with her husband and daughters at her side. Sandy was born in Princeton and was a lifelong resident of Freehold. She was a student at Edith Griebling School and Freehold Township High School prior to graduating from Rider College. Sandy was employed as an accountant with Peter J. Saker Construction and Ecology Enterprises, both of Freehold, before working for Royale Property Management, Lakewood. She enjoyed the beach, boating, and spending time with her friends. Sandy was predeceased by her father, Edward Hillpot; and a sister, Sharon. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Thomas Gilmartin; three daughters, Hollyann Gilmartin of Long Branch, Kimberly Gilmartin and Shannen Gilmartin, both of Freehold; her mother, Dorothy Hillpot of Freehold; four sisters, Joan, Jean, Deanna and Nancy; and all of her pets. Visitation will take place at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, September 10, 2015. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery & Mausoleum, Freehold Township.
