Obituary of Elsie Archbold

ELSIE L. ARCHBOLD, 81, of FREEHOLD, died Thursday, Aug. 28, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs. Archbold was born in Howell and was a lifelong resident of Freehold. She was a member of the Farmingdale-Howell Grange. Mrs. Archbold was a homemaker and, along with her late husband, Donald Sr., ran the family dairy farm. She was also a line worker for Peerless Tube, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald B. Sr.; and a brother, Richard Gibson. Surviving are two sons, Donald Archbold Jr. and his wife Joan of Freehold, and Jay Archbold and his wife Sharon of Freehold; a daughter, Karen Archbold of Freehold; and four grandchildren, Danielle, Alyssa, C.J., and Sarah. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
