Obituary of Audrey Becker

Audrey J. Becker, 91, of Lakewood passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was born in Newark, the middle child in a family of thirteen. Audrey lived in Neptune City and Pine Beach before settling in Lakewood in 2012. Through the course of her schooling, she met her husband. Among her many impressive accomplishments, her drawings are printed in the Patent Office Gazette in Washington. Before retiring in 1984, Audrey was a patent draftsman at Fort Monmouth for over 25 years. She was a proud member of Zonta International for over 35 years. Audrey was tragically predeceased by her son, Charles R. Becker and his children, Kristin A. Becker and Michael R. Becker in 1988. She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 68 years, Robert Becker; her son, Robert J. Becker, Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Naples, FL; two daughters, Susan B. Olson and her husband, Wes, of Wall and Joan M. Boeggeman and her husband, Brian, of Toms River; her brother, Russell G. Van Moppes of Washington; her sister, Ester Campbell of Arizona, eight grandchildren, Robert Becker III and his wife, Susan, of Ohio, Robyn Becker of Beachwood, Karen Olson of Brick, Diane Olson of Brick, Kevin Olson of Pennsylvania, Shannon Silverstein and her husband, Andrew, of Naples, F, Amanda Boeggeman of Toms RIver and Brian Boeggeman of Toms River; six great grandchildren and one on the way. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
