Obituary of Nadia Oleinik
Nadia Oleinik, 95, of Manchester, died Monday, Sept. 1, at Manchester Manor, Manchester. Mrs. Oleinik was born in Russia and came to the U.S. in 1949 settling in New York. She had lived in Lakewood and Ocean Township before moving to Manchester. She was a member of St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church, Howell. Mrs. Oleinik was a seamstress with the I.L.G.W.U. in New York City and Long Branch.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wasyl; and a grandson, Michael J. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Leo and Flora Oleinik of Ocean Township. and Bill and Pauline Oleinik of Easton, Pa.; three grandchildren, David Oleinik, Patricia Spurlock, and Anna Oleinik; and a great-grandson, Coll J. Spurlock.
Pannyhida will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Alexander Avenue, Howell. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral. Interment to follow in St. Vladimir Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson.
