Obituary of Vera Judge

Vera Judge, 101, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. Vera was born, raised and proudly lived her whole life in Jersey City before moving to Freehold in 1986. She was a prison matron for the Hudson County Correctional System in Jersey City and a security guard at Jersey City Medical Center. Vera was a genuine and affectionate woman who loved her family dearly. She showered her family with love, laughter and most of all her amazing ability as a memory maker. Vera's family has been blessed to share everlasting memories of her throughout the years. She always enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and spending time with her family. Vera will be remembered as an inspiration to all whom she touched. She was predeceased by her husband, John Judge; a son, John Judge Jr., three brothers, Benny, Tony, and Dave; and two sisters, Nancy and Helen. Vera is survived by her children, Robert Judge and his wife, Maribeth of Savannah, GA, Catherine Iacouzzi of Whippany, NJ, and Denise Noesges and her husband, William of Freehold Township, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Lydia Judge of Marietta, GA; her grandchildren, Robert Judge and his wife, Mary, Lisa Blinn and her husband, Dennis, Mark Judge, Leslie Judge, Kelli Judge, Gerald Iacouzzi and his wife, Marietta, Kevin Iacouzzi, Dana LaMantia and her husband, Frank, Nicole Gigllio and her husband, Anthony, and William J. Noesges and his wife, Andrea; twelve great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
