Obituary of Joan Holohan

Joan E. Holohan, 75, of Jackson passed away at home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Joan was born in Manhattan and had lived in Matawan and Freehold Township before moving to Jackson in 2012. She was a secretary at the Opatut Professional Center, Freehold Township until her retirement. Joan was a parishioner of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, a member of the Irish Heritage Club and the Twin Mother's Club. Joan was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Holohan in 2011. She is survived by a son, William Patrick Holohan and his wife, Karen of Barnegat; twin daughters, Kim Saniscalchi and her husband, John of Howell and Tracy Ziemba and her husband, Edward of Barnegat; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Barbara Laratro of Long Beach Island, Karen Dunn of Sayreville, and Linda Viviano of Flushing, NY. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 8:45 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Gabriel's Historic Catholic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro.
