Obituary of Rocco Catalano
Rocco M. "Bobby" Catalano, 82, of Farmingdale, died Friday, Sept. 12, at home, after a long illness. Mr. Catalano was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y before moving to Farmingdale in 1991. Bobby was a Store Department Manager for A & S Department stores in Brooklyn for over 50 years before his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy Iovino Catalano, in 2004. Surviving are two sisters, Marie DeSanctis of Farmingdale, and Rose Scoma of Lancaster, Pa.; 17 nieces and nephews; and many grandnieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Rite of Committal service at the at 8 a.m. Monday at funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, 1 W.
