Obituary of Edith Coleman
Edith L. Coleman, 86, formerly of Neptune, died Friday, Sept. 12 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Mrs. Coleman was born in Chesterfield and had lived in Neptune for many years before moving to Stuart, Fla. in 1983. She was a former member of the Ballard United Methodist Church, Asbury Park and a member of the Tropical Baptist Church, Stuart, Fla. Mrs. Coleman was active in many church activities.
She was predeceased by her husband, F. Russell Coleman, in 2002; a brother, Newton Longstreet; and a sister, Adel Imlay. She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Craig R. and his wife, Betty, of Toms River, and Kim B. and his wife, Marjorie, of Berkeley Heights; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Coleman-Mirick and her husband, Richard Mirick, of York, Maine; a sister, Emily Watson, of Plano, Texas; and five grandchildren; Kortney Coleman, Kim R. Coleman, Jeremy Mirick, Joshua Mirick, Jordan McVeigh.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her memorial service at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church of Oakhurst, 103 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, with the Rev. Brian Eble officiating.
