Obituary of Peter Janco
Peter Roy Janco, 80, of Jackson passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Pete was born and raised in Perth Amboy and had lived in Newark and East Brunswick before settling in Jackson in 2010. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for over thirty-four years retiring as Colonel. Pete was an estimator at PSE & G, Newark for 34 years and in retirement worked at Henkels & McCoy, Aberdeen for 16 years. He was a mason at Mt. Zion Lodge No.135 F&AM, Metuchen. Pete was also a member and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #116 at Mt. Zion, and member at the Sirius Chapter #123, Matawan. One of his favorite hobbies was to work with his hands, building various things around the house.
Pete is survived by his wife of 58 years, who was his love at first sight, Elizabeth "Betty" Janco; a son, Dustin Egnatzky; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Danton; two grandchildren, Makenzie Danton, and Morgan Danton; a great grandchild, Daygen Elizabeth Egnatzky; a brother, Paul Janco and his wife, Susan; and a nephew, Paul Janco, Jr.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM with his funeral service to be held at 7:30 PM.
