Obituary of Dennis Bliss

Dennis M. Bliss, 56, of Howell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at home. Dennis was born in Middlesex and was a lifelong resident of Howell. He retired in 2012 from the I.B.E.W., Local 456. Dennis enjoyed spending time in the Catskills and Florida with family and friends. He truly lived the life of fisherman, spending time on the ocean, lakes and even the ice. Even though fishing was a passion, Dennis loved his wife and was immensely proud of his children. Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Betty Bliss; and two brothers, Timothy Bliss and Glen Bliss. Dennis is survived by his wife of 29 years, Veronica Bliss; his children, Matthew and Emma; three brothers, James Bliss, Robert Bliss, and Jeffrey Bliss; four sisters, Mae Ayers, Laura Hazzard, Nancy Johnson, and Tina Bliss-Hubbard; numerous nieces and nephews; in-laws, James and Mary Duffy; and his brothers and sisters-in-law and their family. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Interment will be private.
