Obituary of Jeanette DiMaggio
Jeanette DiMaggio, 75, of Freehold passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Her life was a true example of a good and faithful servant. She was the single mother of five adoring children and a twin sister with whom she shared an unbreakable bond. Being a mother was the most important job in the world to her. Her greatest joy was her five grandchildren who lovingly called her Nanny. Jeanette's constant devotion to her family was a daily part of her life. Her love spilled on to anyone who entered her home, and all were welcomed at any time. Jeanette's house was filled with love and laughter as she and her sisters and brother-in-law played cards and shared dinner many nights a week. The children, grandchildren and other family members often joined them and were blessed to know there was always a place for them. To know her was to love her, her family was honored that they were able to call her mom.
Jeanette was predeceased by her father, Thomas DiBartolo in 1996 and mother, Sarah DiBartolo in 2002; her brother, Salvatore DiBartolo in 2010; a nephew, Joseph DiGangi in 2009; and a brother-in-law, Tony Cassandra in 2011.
She is survived by her children, Sara DiMaggio of Freehold, Debra DiMaggio of Stonington, CT., Gina Kahwaty and her husband, Al of Freehold, Anthony DiMaggio of Ventnor, and Marcy Davis and her husband, Gabriel; her grandchildren, Christina Forte, Jessica Brito and her husband, Andrew, Grace Davis, Christopher Kahwaty, and Gabriel Davis; her sister, Mary DeBlasio; her brother, Frank DiBartolo and his wife, Chickie; her twin sister Rose and her husband, Rosario; her sister, Camille Cassandra; a sister-in-law, Loretta DiBartolo; and many nieces and nephews.
