Obituary of Alex Meskovic

Alex Meskovic, 58, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Alex was born in Pula, Yugoslavia and had lived in Serbia, West Germany, Brooklyn and Staten Island before moving to Freehold Township in 2003. He was a black car dispatcher for Big Apple Livery, NYC retiring in 2001. Alex was an avid history buff and reader and was always eager to discuss politics. He was a New York Giants and Yankee fan and enjoyed playing golf. Alex loved the game of soccer and was a devoted Manchester United fan. He was a friend to many and beloved by all who knew him. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Jovan and Karmen Meskovic; and a son, A.J. Meskovic. He is survived by his wife, Darlene A. Agresta, of Freehold Township; a brother, Zarko Meskovic and his wife, Toni of Staten Island; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM with his memorial service to follow at 6:30 PM. Family and friends are also invited to gather at the family's home on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
