Obituary of Florence Catananzi

Florence Ann Catananzi, 70, of Howell, died Saturday, Oct. 11 at home. Mrs. Catananzi was born in Jersey City and moved to Howell 21 years ago. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, Lakewood and a former parishioner of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Jersey City. She is survived by her husband, Anthony P. Catananzi, of Howell; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony P. Jr., and Kathy Catananzi, of Fords, Frederick and Sandy Catananzi, of Rahway, Christopher "Chris" and Krista Catananzi of Browns Mills; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Toscani, of Freehold Township; one brother, Frederick Ertle, of Saylorsburg, Penn. and seven grandchildren, Jessica, Merissa, Louis, Francesca, Alaina, Stephanie and DeLaney. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Twp., will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Relatives and friends may gather for the rite of committal at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by her 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Lake Church, 43 Madison Ave., Lakewood.
