Condolences
Sad news to hear this morning about Mike. I have fond memories of us "carousing" together back in 79-80, riding horses occasionally in the neighborhood. Mike was always smiling, and a joy to hang around with... Thom Barnhardt

Dear Marcia, Amanda, Elizabeth, Emily and the entire Sayko Family, We are so sorry for your immeasurable loss. You can tell by all of the messages that he was a very special and great man. May God bless all of you and please know that you have a whole SVS family who loves you and is here for you.
Marcia, my heart goes out to you and your children. The love you and Mike have shared over the years has been so beautiful. The pictures show the same zest for life that you both shared in college. My prayers are with you and know that I love you!
I first met Mike during the early 90s when being hired by CSC. He and his sister, Kathy, were invaluable in bringing me up to speed with the Fort Monmouth culture and process during my transition from manufacturing to the service industry. Mike was a great guy and was very patient with me in learning the various software and base line cost estimating techniques. He would often try to get a reaction from me each day by telling me the latest jokes making the rounds or taking advantage of me being a Giants fan in pointing out all their faults and or "lucky breaks" during the season. He never failed once to bring a smile to my face. From time to time over the years I would think about how he must be doing with his company he founded and just over all what he is up too. Never did I suspect he was in poor health and it was a total shock for me to find this out. Mike was a giant of a man with a great sense of humor. From the memorial on-line, Mike was able to live a full and accomplished life. Having loss my mother last year, I have been made acutely aware of what people go through in dealing with the passing of a loved one. My sincere sympathy goes out to his wife Marcia, his children, sister Kathy, and the rest of the Sayko family.

I met mike and the whole family about two years ago when I sadly found out he was diagnosed. I received the God given chance to fitness train mike sayko as well as relax him with massage therapy to help him the best I could do since his diagnosis time frame. He did such an incredible job. I am truly blessed to have worked with someone like him. He was very strong and dedicated to his workouts and his family. I could always see why he was called Captain America. Very positive person. He basically gave me my career start for the future. Thank you mike. God bless the Sayko family. You will always be in our prayers.
First, I'd like to share the message I shared with the public & posted on my FBook wall Tuesday, April 3rd: It is difficult to express the sorrow my family & I feel after the April 3rd passing of my sweet nephew Mike Sayko (just turned 49 last month), a very special big-hearted, good-humored, positive, generous and loving soul, father of 3 beautiful daughters - Amanda, Elizabeth & Emily & husband of sweet Marcia - who shares Mike's magnanimous nature & special qualities, first son of my big brother Drew & his wonderful wife Pat, brother to Pat & Drew's other children - Mike's siblings Andrew, Kathy & Jay - , and uncle to their 3 sons. At least Mike is at peace now and no longer suffering from the painful brain cancer. So alive, I know he's watching down on us. But WE MISS HIM ! ā„ R.I.P. Mike... with Love & Prayers, Aunt Beth P.S. Thank you, Ed Watson, for posting the picture of Mike, so happy in his beloved Washington Red Skins shirt. Sorry I edited you out of the photo here when I posted it. ************* I shared the following with Andrew, Kathy & Jay & now share it with you, Marcia, Amanda, Elizabeth & Emily: <3 I loved Mike with a special bond because I was around him so much in the Fanwood,NJ Princeton Ave house with Mike's(your) Mom & Mike when he was born & for a year or 2 after that before Mike's(your) folks moved down south to Annandale, VA when Mike's(your) Dad went to law school at George Washington University after graduating from Providence College, & was working for American Cyanamid. I was still in HS, and having a new baby around to interact with was wonderful & left quite an impression on this then-15-year-old. Mike was always so much fun! I never could make the family ski trips, but I loved riding horses with him in the woods by the Charlotte house. Mike was always considerate enough to go first because he knew how much I hated spiders and he would kindly knock their webs out of the way for me. That's the kind of good person he always was so naturally. And, as I know you guys know, a lot of fun was had ragging on him about his beloved Skins during NFL games. I was happy he & Marcia got to go to one of their games in DC recently, - last year, wasnāt it? I pray for you, Marcia, Amanda, Elizabeth & Emily, along with Mike's parents Pat & Drew, that God will bring extra comfort, love and peace to fill the empty pain that mourning brings from missing your husband, father and son, and that He will replace your sorrow with the warmth of a smile - like when I think of my folks, your Nana & Grand Pa Sayko, now... And I pray this happens much sooner, rather than later. From the heart, with Love, Aunt Beth

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I worked with Mike in the 80's at Analytics, Inc. in Tinton Falls. Remembering all of the fun times that we had in and out of the office has made me smile once again. I can remember Mike taking car trips down to Dale's Sub Shop in West End at lunchtime just to get his favorite sub to bring back to the office!! Mike had a contagious sense of humor and I remember him fondly from all of those years ago. My thoughts are with Marcia and Mike's family and friends. He was a true character. Kathy Cooney Marone
