Obituary of Angela DePaola

Angela "Angie" DePaola, 94, of Elizabeth passed away at her daughter's home in Howell surrounded by her family on Friday, January 22, 2016. Angie was born and lived in Elizabeth before moving to Howell 6 years ago. She was a bookkeeper for Art Floral Shop, Elizabeth until retiring in 1981. As a parishioner of St. Anthony's Church she was a lector, member of the Altar Guild, St. Ann's Rosary Society and a Bingo volunteer. Angie most recently attended St. Veronica Church in Howell with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Vincent DePaola in 2008; her son, Frank Joseph DePaola in 2006; and four siblings, Mary Vinegra, Jean Araneo, Fannie Nufrio and John Araneo. Angie is survived by her son, John M. DePaola and his wife, Melanie of River Vale, NJ; her daughter, Nancy Goydish and her husband, Nicholas of Howell Township; one sister, Lorraine Fittipoldi of Turnersville, NJ; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 9:30 AM for the procession to the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell Township for her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass.
