Condolences
Mr Peacock was my favorite teacher (well, tied with Miss Cross and Miss Homesack) in my 8 years at St Cecelia's. I am glad he lived a long and productive life.
I not only had the privilege of having your dad as a teacher once, but twice (5th and 7th grade) during my years at St. Cecelia. He was a wonderful teacher and a terrific man. After all these years, one never forgets those who made an impact in your life. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Richard Odroniec (Class of 1973)

I am sorry for your loss. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 reminds us that God is always there to comfort us. I pray this helps you to find solace.
I too was fortunate enough to have Mr. Peacock as a teacher at St. Cecelia's. He was loved and respected by all who knew him and when he wanted to have some fun he would instill a little fear. But he didn't need to do that much because his students liked him so much. I remember him leading us in classroom calisthenics, (boys in the front, girls in the back of the class), joining us in song and hiding the coffee maker that he and Mrs. Bolger shared when they learned the principal was on her way to the classroom. I recall when a particular student was misbehaving he calmly walked over to him, leaned over to him and said (paraphrase). 'See this gray hair, it wasn't there at the start of the school year '. He then calmly walked back to his desk and resumed the lesson. How amazing is it that I remember all these details so vividly and with such fondness after 45 years? Mr. Peacock, Thank you for sharing your gift with so many children.

Tom was always ready to crack a joke or say just the right thing to lighten up a situation. He could read someone like a book, only he didn't even have to open it. He was funny, hardworking, and always kept it real. We worked the student Holiday Shoppe together here at the school two years in a row, and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. His advice will resonate with me always. He called it like he saw it, no matter what. I am going to miss you Tom. I know you are up in heaven keeping it real, telling it like it is, and definitely shaking your head at us. RIP my friend, RTA will miss you so much even the Thelma's and the Theodore's.
Viv - We are so saddened to hear of Tom's passing. We have such wonderful memories of dinners and evenings shared with the two of you (and Molly too!) in Brigantine. You are in our hearts and our prayers. Much love, Carla and Deb
Your Dad left impression on all of us he taught. It is amazing that we all have fond memories of St
. Cecelia's and Mr. Peacock was a large part of it. Blessed to be taught by him.

Mr.Peacock was indeed "our" energetic, loud and full of surprises 5th grade teacher at St.Ceclia's. I learned to love math because of him. He had a special way to engage all the students and if you weren't he called you out. He expected alot from us and as a result we were all better students and human beings. He even taught life skills. Who remembers square dancing with Mrs.Bolger's class when we had been "good" or they needed a break from teaching?
I consider myself very lucky to have had my life touched by Mr.Peacock. My heart and deepest condolences go out to you his family, friends and loved ones as your loss is signifcant.

Our hearts are broken for the loss of our beloved Tom. Such a good man and terrific friend. Thirty-two years of good times, many dinners and outings, much laughter, but most of all a loving friendship. He was ALWAYS there to give support especially in time of poor health. We will always remember our great times together. Our deepest sympathy to our dear friend Vivette and Ian, Sarah and Sully. We are always here for you no matter what time of day. In sympathy, friendship and love, Barbara & Conrad

Mr. Peacock was my, or should I say, our 5th grade teacher at St Cecelia's.. Everyone loved him!!! He was intelligent, fun, suportive, and real.. I will never forget how he incorporated silly songs such as "The Erie Canal" into our lessons and exercises that we performed in the aisles... always eager to reach the "whole" student - history, physical education, music, etc.. Zita and I had a conversation with hm at the St.Cecelia's closing/reunion a few years ago. He was young, entuiastic, and just as supportive as 40 plus years ago. My deepest condolences to his family...He was a great teacher and person..
