Obituary of Andrew Grano

ANDREW R. "POP" GRANO AGE: 91 HOWELL Andrew R. "Pop" Grano, 91, of Howell, died Friday, Oct. 24, at Care One at Jackson. Mr. Grano was born in Union City and lived there before moving to Howell in 1964. Before his retirement in 1982, Mr. Grano was a watcher for Schlieffley Embroidery in North Bergen. Mr. Grano was a parishioner of St. Veronica Catholic Church, Howell, and worked part time after retirement for American Plus Printers in Wall. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura, in 2001. Surviving are one son, Richard A. of Supply, N.C.; two daughters, Judith Ettenberg of Simi Valley, Calif., and Lauralee Lucey of Howell; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal, followed by his 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.
