Obituary of Irwin Bookbinder

Irwin "Ed" Bookbinder, 80, of Howell passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in New York, raised in the Bronx and had moved to North Jersey with his wife and son in 1966. They settled in Howell in 1969 to raise their family. Stationed in Germany from 1959 to 1961, Ed proudly served in the United States Army. For over 20 years, he was the President and Owner of Global Dental Supply Company, Inc. in Lakewood. He was currently employed as a Sales Consultant for Vision USA in Cherry Hill. A fan of the New York Yankees, Ed loved sports, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Myrna Bookbinder; his sons, David Bookbinder and his wife, Jennifer of Freehold, and Eric Bookbinder of Barnegat; and his three grandchildren, Bianca R. Bookbinder, Vanessa E. Bookbinder and David Bookbinder, Jr. Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
