Obituary of Marie Durham

Marie R. Durham, 89, of Howell, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Jersey Shore Medical Center. She was born and raised in Newark before settling in Howell in 1983. Marie enjoyed the simple pleasures of being in her home. She liked to watch television, especially Wheel of Fortune and Church. Marie was very close with her family and loved spending time with her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas E. Durham; three brothers, James Raspa, Michael Raspa, and Louis Raspa; and one sister, Anna Pinto. Marie is survived by her two sons, Joseph Durham of Howell, and James Durham and his wife, Tanya of Myrtle Beach; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Victor Raspa of Florida, and Tony Raspa of Bayville. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 8:30 AM for the procession to The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell Township for her 9:30 AM Funeral Mass.
