Condolences
Aunt Marge and Uncle Eddie possessed such patience. When I was just 4 years old, I wanted to sleep over Aunt Marge and Uncle Eddie's apartment like my older brother Ronnie. They agreed and I packed my little overnight bag and headed off to 411 W. 50th Street. During the night, I awakened to a raging storm and was frightened. Aunt Margie and Uncle Eddie did everything to try to calm me, but I wanted to go home NOW! So, they packed me up and Uncle Eddie stood downstairs in the rain hailing a cab to bring me home.
I didn't ask to sleep over again until I was a tween. By now, they had their home in Howell. I came down from the city and was so impressed with their "huge" house. I was especially impressed with their bathroom and couldn't wait to take a shower. Well, I guess I was in there a long time and suddenly I heard a frantic knock on the door. "Niecy, Niecy, there's a flood out in the hall". I left the shower curtain outside the tub! I'm sure it took a great deal of restraint, but Aunt Marge never scolded me.
Aunt Marge was always gentle, patient and kind. She was always there for me if I had any questions about school subjects, religion or anything else. I'm 61 and she always remembered me on my birthday with an eloquent heartfelt message.
I will miss her dearly; but I find comfort knowing she is now in Heaven with Uncle Ed.
Lia & Family, My thoughts & prayers are with you all. I will always remember her smile & laugh. She was an amazing woman from an amazing family. She & all of you always made me feel welcomed. I always considered her like my 2nd grandmother & will miss her. Reflect & treasure the sweet & happy moments.
Dear Cousins, My heart breaks to know I will not hear Aunt Marge's sweet voice, nor receive another birthday card with her heartfelt message; but she has lived a full life, filled with joy and unselfish giving to others. Now is her time for reward and reunion with her dear husband. May memories comfort you and hope of reunion someday in heaven, sustain you. All our love, ~ Denise Heid, Wellsville, New York
