Obituary of Joann Reiss

Joann Reiss, 72, of Howell Township, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, she had lived in Old Bridge before settling to Howell in 1981 with her family. When she was not caring for family and dancing around her home while cleaning, Joann could be found with her nose buried in one of her favorite books. She was predeceased by her husband, Warren Reiss in 2008. Joann is survived by her son, Scott Reiss of Howell; two daughters, Tracey Michenfelder and her husband, Bill of East Windsor and Donna Reiss-Simonow and her husband, Boris of Howell; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Lunn, Michael Lunn, Krista Michenfelder, Matthew Michenfelder, Jake Michenfelder and Amanda Reiss; and her brother Albert Mazzola and his wife, Barbara of Clifton. A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM with her 2:30 PM memorial service to follow at the funeral home.
