Obituary of Walter Miller
Walter D. Miller Jr., 56, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, after a courageous battle with lung cancer, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer, New York. Mr. Miller was born in Perth Amboy and had lived in Hazlet and Freehold before moving to Jackson five years ago. Mr. Miller was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran serving during Vietnam. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and "Poppy." Mr. Miller was an auto body painter with Jerry Noonan Auto Body, Monroe Township.
He was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn and Walter D. Miller Sr. Surviving are his wife, Deborah Miller; two daughters and sons-in-law, Melanie and Victor Soriano of Douglassville, Pa., and Katie and Richard Hudak of Howell; three grandchildren, Brian Alexander Soriano, Sarah Elizabeth Soriano, and Tyler Joseph Hudak; his mother-in-law, Agnes Tully of Hazlet; his faithful canine companion, "Maggie"; and many family and friends.
Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m. Saturday until his funeral service at 5:30 p.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township.
