Obituary of Warren Reiss

Warren W. Reiss, 67, of Howell, died Monday, Nov. 24, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Reiss was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Bayside, Queens, and Old Bridge before moving to Howell in 1981. He was a life and exempt member of the Southard Fire Department, Howell. He was a former member of the Howell First Aid Squad, Station 1921. He was a union carpenter with Local 2250, Red Bank, retiring in 2004. Surviving are his wife of 44½ years, JoAnn Reiss; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Shawn Reiss of Flanders; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Bill Michenfelder of East Windsor, and Donna and Boris Simonow of Howell; and 11 grandchildren. A gathering of friends will be held from 10 a.m. Saturday until his funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Warren's name may be made to the Meredith Memmolo Memorial Relief Fund, P.O.
