Obituary of Claire Gadowski

Claire Gadowski, 89, of Ocean Isle, NC, formerly of Englishtown passed away peacefully at Lower Cape Fear Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia, NC on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Born in Jersey City, Claire had lived in Englishtown for sixty-five years before moving to Ocean Isle last year. She was an administrative assistant at Bell Laboratories, Holmdel until her retirement and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Claire was a former parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. A devoted wife, beloved mom, adoring grandmother, and proud great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all her friends and relatives. Claire was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Gadowski in 1990. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph Gadowski, Jr. and his wife, Jane of Calabash, NC and Edward Gadowski and his wife, Colleen of Southport, NC; three grandchildren, Heather, Lauren, and Brandon; five great grandchildren, Alexa, Payton, Shannon, Katelyn, and Billy. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 8:30 AM for the procession for her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan.
