Obituary of James Lee
James Lee, 80, of Howell passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township. He was born in Brooklyn and lived in Staten Island for 24 years before settling in The Villages, Howell in 2003. James was an inspector for Brooklyn Union Gas prior to his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed playing cards at The Villages and drinking Dewars Scotch. Known for being a snazzy dresser, James also loved gardening.
James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia "Patti" Lee of Howell; his son, John P. Lee and his wife, Joan of East Brunswick; and his grandson, Matthew Lee.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 9:00 AM for procession to his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of James may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 3725 Alexandra Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
