Obituary of Virginia Blinn
Virginia T. Blinn, 85, of Lakewood passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Virginia was born in Jackson and had lived in Clarksburg before moving to Lakewood in 1958. She was an elementary school teacher for the Lakewood Twp. Board of Education for forty-two years retiring in 1990. Virginia was a life member of the NJEA & NEA, a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Zeta (Female Education International Association), a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Gloria Chapter #159, Toms River, and the Ocean County Historical Society. She also volunteered at the NJ Masonic Home, Burlington. Virginia was a member of the Hope Presbyterian Church, Lakewood.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mahlon L. Blinn in 1999. Virginia is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a dear friend, Mary Jean Thompson.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 1:00 PM until her funeral service at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Barbara Hicks, officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
