Paul, Michele, and Christopher, I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about Joanne. While it has been many many years since we worked together at Bell Labs the memories remain fresh in my mind. Joanne was just an absolutely terrific colleague and friend. We worked together when I was first starting my career in management and I know I owe much to Joanne's early support for whatever success I have achieved over my career. I know words seem inadequate at a time like this but know that Joanne was a wonderful person who affected many lives all for the better. For that I will always be grateful to her. My very deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. Paul Paul Gandel (former co-worker and supervisor at Bell Laboratories)

Paul, Chris and Michelle, Bob and I send you our condolences and will keep you all in our prayers. I remember all of the good times the girls (Sharon, Gerry, and myself) had with Joanne, from our trips to Cape May for the candlelight walk, my first Josh Groban concert and that crazy Academy Awards party that she hosted.
My thoughts and prayers are with Joanne's family. In this time of sadness, try and reflect on all of the wonderful things Joanne has accomplished in her life. She has a beautiful family and she has truly touched so many of her friends in such a wonderful way throughout the years. She is now at peace and will always look over her family...forever. God Bless and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dear Christopher, Michelle and Paul: Christopher, Michelle, I never met you, but every Christmas, your Mom, my dearest friend and coworker, would send me your pictures. I saw you grow from year to year through the pictures she sent me faithfully each year since your births. In our conversations, she spoke about both of you, telling me how proud she was of you. Her face displayed the love she had for each of you as she talked about you. Despite all that she was going through, she comforted me in the loss of my husband, and during my recent illness. She had great faith in the Lord as well as in the Blessed Mother. So I pray now that the Lord will keep her in his care, and the Blessed Mother will shed her grace on her. I am just so, soooooooooo, sorry that you have lost a great Mom, and I have lost a very loyal, kind, friend. Joanne, I will continue to pray for you and your wonderful children. My life was enriched having Joanne in it. In deepest sympathy, Fay Lods
