Obituary of Edward Webb

Edward C. Webb, 70, of Beachwood, died Thursday, Dec. 11, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mr. Webb was born in Irvington and had lived in the Colonia section of Woodbridge before moving to Beachwood. He was a fireman with the Irvington Fire Company for 25 years, retiring as a lieutenant in 1998. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam. War. Mr. Webb enjoyed bike riding and was an avid bowler. Surviving are his former wife and friend, Bonnie Webb of Kenilworth; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward Webb Jr. and his wife Lauren of Colonia; two daughters, Lori Miller and her husband Robert of Farmingdale, and Christine Ryan and her husband David of Beachwood; a brother, Arthur Webb of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two sisters, Audrey Raye of Anaheim, Calif., and Dolores Wolf of Somerset; and six grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
