Obituary of Hedwig Duffy

Hedwig M. Duffy, 80, of Mt. Holly passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune less than six weeks after she lost her soulmate. She was born in Elizabeth and lived there until settling in Mt. Laurel in 1986. Hedwig was a former parishioner and Eucharistic minister at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hainesport. She was a homemaker whose favorite hobby was her family and they will miss her tremendously. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Hermina Gross; and her husband, Paul V. Duffy, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Paul V. Duffy, Jr. and his wife, Beth of Cream Ridge, Patrick Duffy and his wife, Angela of Wall, Michael Duffy and his wife, CarolAnn of Freehold Township and Timothy Duffy and his wife, Lorraine of Williamstown; and nine grandchildren, Timothy Michael, Georgia, Julia, Alyssa, Hanna, Joseph, Lyla, Jack, and Chance. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
