Obituary of Gloria Swakopf

Gloria Swakopf, 83 of Freehold, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was born in New York City, N.Y. and had lived in Manhattan and Westchester before moving to Freehold in 1982. Mrs. Swakopf retired as a Home Health Aid for the VNA of Central Jersey in 1998; prior to that, she worked at MCOSS. Mrs. Swakopf was predeceased by her first husband, Henry Hecht; a sister, Elizabeth Spilotras; and a brother, Christopher Becker. She is survived by her husband, Henry Swakopf of Freehold; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Jacqueline Hecht of Howell; a daughter and her companion, Gloria Mrazek and Gary DeLiberto of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Belinda Annette Hecht, Bridgette Christine Hecht, Henry Daniel Hecht and Adam Grant Steinberger. Visiting will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Rd. (Route 524), Freehold Township.
